Call for Abstracts is now open!

A one-of-a-kind virtual event dedicated to student and early career psychologists. Selected participants will submit a brief presentation on their research to be reviewed by top psychologists around the world. Presentations and reviews will be shown during a 24-hour marathon with time for questions and answers. Awards will be given for the top two presentations chosen by the Executive Committee and the top three presentations overall, voted on by IAAP members.

Call for Abstracts

We are pleased to announce the beginning of the fifth edition of the IAAP Early Career Marathon (ECM)!

The call for abstracts opened June 15, 2026 and will remain open until September 14, 2026. Submissions are invited from psychologists within the first 10 years of their careers, including students. Proposals may be submitted through the link below.

Selected participants will be invited to submit a brief video presentation of their research. These presentations will be reviewed by leading psychologists from around the world and featured during the 24-hour marathon, alongside live opportunities for questions and discussion.

Continuing tradition, the marathon will run continuously from Saturday, March 6 at 9:00 AM (London time) through Sunday, March 7 at 9:00 AM (London time).

Awards will be presented to the top two presentations selected by the Executive Committee, as well as the top five presentations as voted by IAAP members.

Guidelines
  • Less than 10 years after your last obtained degree or no more than 10 years of professional experience and  current students are welcome as well. 
  • Abstracts should include your title, names of all authors, and presenters email address.
  • Presenters must commit to attending their presentation live on March 6/7, 2027.  
  • If your abstract is accepted, you must be a current IAAP member in good standing. Join IAAP!
