Board Members

President: Gabriel L. Medianero Araúz
Panamá 

Gabriel L. Medianero Araúz is a licensed Panamanian psychologist with a Master's degree in Cognitive and Behavioural Neuroscience, with a concentration in Clinical Neuropsychology. His work focuses on applying neuropsychological knowledge to educational practice to facilitate learning, inclusion, and equitable participation for neurodivergent students. Additionally, he works on suicide prevention programmes and provides mental health guidance to populations in need.

Throughout his career, Gabriel has worked as a Learning Support Teacher, an instructor in educational support programmes, and a psychologist in both governmental and non-governmental organisations. He has also contributed to the development of national regulations and public policies on suicide prevention and mental health in Panama.

Gabriel is passionate about advancing diverse, inclusive, and culturally responsive psychological science by amplifying perspectives from the Global South, particularly Latin America. His leadership and professional contributions have been recognised by organisations including SENACYT, the Ministry of Education of Panama (MEDUCA), and the American Psychological Association (APA).

Past President: Marija Davcheva 
Spain

Marija holds a  PhD in Psychology of Human Resources by the University of Valencia, Spain. Currently she works as a scientist practitioner in occupational health and her applied research focuses on promotion of healthy organizational environments and reduction of sickness absenteeism. She was the division 15 president 2022-2026 and led various international initiatives and as current Early Career Marathon she will continue to pave the way with opportunities for psychologists to grow professionally.

Vice President: Jennifer Namutebi 
Uganda

Jennifer Namutebi is a Ugandan Work Psychologist, researcher, consultant, and lecturer with interests in work and organisational psychology, positive organisational behaviour, and human flourishing at work. Her work broadly explores the application of psychology to work, organisations, learning, and human development, with a particular interest in understanding how people and organisations can thrive. Jennifer holds a Master’s Degree in Business Psychology and an MSc in Digital Education from the University of Edinburgh, pursued as a Mastercard Foundation Scholar, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management and an Advanced Diploma in Social Psychology. She is currently finalising her PhD in Work Psychology at the University of Johannesburg, with her research focusing on human flourishing at work. She lectures at Nkumba University and has research and consultancy experience across the SME, NGO, entrepreneurship, and organisational development sectors. She is also a Business Mentor with the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) Entrepreneurship Programme and is passionate about advancing positive psychology and organisational scholarship in ways that contribute to healthier workplaces and flourishing individuals and communities, particularly within African contexts

Vice President: Kerry Fisher
United Kingdom

Kerry Fisher is a British PhD researcher in Psychology at the University of Birmingham, Vice‑President of IAAP Division 15, and President‑Elect of IAAP Division 10 (Psychology, Law & Ethics). Her Division 15 work centres on creating accessible opportunities for students and early‑career psychologists, promoting international mobility, and strengthening global networks that support professional development, mentoring, and collaborative engagement across applied psychology, particularly for those entering international roles. Kerry previously served on the British Psychological Society’s Student Committee as the EFPSA representative and now sits on the West Midlands Regional Committee, advocating for postgraduate and early‑career psychologists. Her doctoral research examines how men with lived experience of Borderline Personality Disorder are misdiagnosed with Antisocial Personality Disorder, and how this shapes their pathways through the Criminal Justice System. She aims to become a Forensic Psychologist, with her academic and professional work consistently aligned with this goal.

Outreach Officer: Ana Kraljevic
Croatia

Ana Kraljević, MSc Psychologist, is a psychologist at the Teaching Institute of Public Health “Dr. Andrija Štampar” in Zagreb, Croatia, a psychotherapist under supervision, and a postgraduate student of Public Health. Her work focuses on community mental health and supporting individuals with complex mental health and psychosocial needs, with particular interests in public health, health policy, ageing, dementia, caregiver support, and improving access to care in rural and underserved communities.

Ana has been actively involved in professional and student psychology organizations, including EFPSA, EFPA, and IAAP. She served for four years as an IAAP European Student Ambassador, fostering international collaboration and engagement among psychology students and early career professionals. She is passionate about advocating both for the advancement of psychology as a science and profession, and for the application of psychological knowledge to promote public wellbeing, inform policy, and strengthen communities.

Engagement Office: Lokita Chandra
India

Lokita Chandra have completed her Master's degree in psychology from Banaras Hindu University, Uttar Pradesh, India. She has experience at the intersection of psychological research, clinical practice, community engagement, and international academic collaboration. She is currently a member of the IAAP Advanced Research Training Seminar (ARTS), where she works alongside an international team of scholars on a project Interact2Impact, contributing to qualitative research, behavioural observation, and research-tool development.

Her experiences across clinical settings, community initiatives, and research projects have enabled her to work with diverse groups and develop strong skills in communication, collaboration, field engagement, and research. She has worked with children and caregivers in a psychosocial setting, interacted with patients in hospital environments, conducted community-based data collection, and undertaken independent postgraduate research.

She is particularly passionate about connecting people, facilitating meaningful academic engagement, and making psychology more collaborative and accessible to students and early-career professionals.

Communications Officer: Tia Kleiner
Canada

Tia is a master's student in developmental psychology in Ontario, Canada. She has been volunteering with the IAAP for several years, and recently became Secretary of Communication, where she hopes to keep amplifying the voices of early-career researchers within the field.

Chair of the Early Career Task Force: Jaime Martín Fernandez
Spain

Jaime is a Spanish student with a degree in Psychology from Nebrija University and a Master's degree in Organizational Psychology and Human Resources from the Universitat Jaume I. He is currently working in the WANT team as an organisational psychologist. In his career, in addition to organisational psychology, he has been passionate about international psychology and that is why he started training in this field two years ago, having as one of his achievements to be one of the authors of the Spanish chapter of the ‘Handbook of International Psychology’.

Ambassadors

Ambassador for Europe: Fabian Lord
United Kingdom

Fabian Lord is Director of Learning at the Institute for Advanced Learning & Metacognition, a UK education charity producing research and guidance for schools on identifying and stretching able learners. He is reading for an MSc in Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society and is a member of the BPS and of the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors.

His work brings together cognitive science, metacognition and classroom practice. He has led assessments for a national schools programme recognised by the Prime Minister and founded The Learning Lab, a Mensa special interest group applying the science of learning.

As Division 15 Ambassador for Europe, Fabian hopes to connect students and early career psychologists across the region, and to help members feel they belong as part of a meaningful global discipline.

Ambassador for Europe: Dora Mihić
Croatia

Dora Mihić is a licensed psychologist and PhD student, working as a career counselor at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. Her expertise lies in work and organisational psychology, professional health psychology, and career development. In addition, Dora is a certified Behavioural Forensic, and an Educational and Experiential Trainer. Dora has been an active member of EFPSA (European Federation of Psychology Students’ Associations) and EFPA (European Federation of Psychologists Associations) for multiple years within the Standing Committee on Psychology in Education. In the past few years, she has been a member of the European Youth Parliament (EYP), where she worked on welfare, inclusion and accessibility. With a broad yet closely connected skill set, Dora often integrates multiple psychological subdisciplines and bridges psychology with other fields, offering a multidisciplinary and applied approach to research, training, and practice.

Ambassador for Africa: Rita Aubin-Frimpong
Ghana

Rita Aubin-Frimpong (Boateng), PhD, is a licensed Industrial and Organisational Psychologist, Lecturer in the Department of Education and Psychology at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, and a recent Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Ghana. Her research focuses on leadership, workplace wellbeing, gender inclusion, resilience, and climate psychology, with a commitment to translating research into practice and policy. Dr. Boateng serves as the Research and Academic Collaboration Lead under the Ghana Psychological Association's International Relations portfolio and is an Emerging Leader of the Global Psychology Alliance, where she also contributes to the Global Mental Health Working Group. Passionate about mentoring the next generation of psychologists, she actively promotes research collaboration, professional development, and international partnerships. As IAAP Division 15 Ambassador for Africa, she is committed to strengthening connections, mentorship, and opportunities for students and early career psychologists across the continent.

Ambassador for Africa: Mohammed Mansouri
Algeria

Mohammed Mansouri is a PhD student in Work and Organizational Psychology at Djillali Liabes University of Sidi Bel Abbès, Algeria, and serves as an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Oran 2 Mohammed Ben Ahmed. His research focuses on work and organizational psychology, with a primary emphasis on the measurement of meaningful work, decent work, and well-being within non-Western contexts, particularly in the Arab world and Africa. He develops and validates psychometric tools in Arabic—such as measures for psychological capital, career adaptability, and flourishing—to examine how psychosocial resources shape meaningful work experiences and quality of life. Committed to open science practices, his work aims to address the WEIRD bias in well-being and work psychology by building culturally grounded evidence from the Global South.

Ambassador for Asia: Susmita Shrestha
Nepal

Susmita Shrestha is an undergraduate student in Psychology and Social Work at GoldenGate International College, Kathmandu, Nepal. Her work focuses on expanding access to mental health awareness, education, and international collaboration for students and young people. She has written mental health articles in Nepali for Nepal Samachar Patra, is currently an intern at Lighthouse Neural, where she contributes to mental health initiatives and outreach, and volunteers with the Sambhavya Youth Council to deliver resilience-building and empowerment programs in government schools. Susmita is passionate about strengthening connections between students, early-career psychologists, and the global psychology community. As IAAP Division 15 Regional Ambassador for Asia, she hopes to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and opportunities that support the growth of psychology students and emerging professionals across the region. She aspires to pursue a Master's degree and an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology, followed by doctoral studies, and to continue contributing to global mental health.

Ambassador for Asia: Bashir Ansari
India

Bashir Ansari is a Doctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad, India. His research focuses on human-AI interaction, specifically how people anthropomorphize Large Language Model (LLM)-based conversational agents and how this impacts identity, privacy, and user relationships.

Bashir holds a master's degree in clinical psychology from Banaras Hindu University and has taught postgraduate courses on digital humanities and AI ethics. An active international researcher, he collaborates with institutions such as the Annecy Behavioral Science Lab in France on global social connection projects. Driven by a passion for cross-disciplinary research and global collaboration, Bashir is excited to serve as the Ambassador for Asia on the IAAP Division 15 Board, working to connect, support, and represent members across the region.

Ambassador for Latin America: Paola Díaz Rivera
Mexico

She was born and raised in Mexico City. She has a PhD degree in Social Psychology and She is professor of Psychology at Panamerican University. She is currently conducting research at

the National Autonomous University of Mexico on altruism and moral decisions. She primarily wonders what makes people kinder to others. She is a member of the "Psychosocial Research Unit" research group, which seeks to elucidate the influence of culture on behavior. She has been part of peacebuilding groups in Mexico City because she believes that psychology can be a tool for social change and the empowerment of communities. She has collaborated on various projects dedicated to the public dissemination of psychology. She currently enjoys teaching psychology, conducting research, and swimming in his free time.

Ambassador for Latin America: Alesson Camargo
Brazil

Alesson Fernandes Camargo is a Psychology undergraduate (2022–2026), student representative (2025–2026), and academic teaching assistant (2024–2026), with research experience in mental health (2025–2026), all at AFYA University Center of Araguaína, Brazil. He is currently pursuing training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (2026–2028) at the Santa Catarina Institute of Cognitive Therapy (ICTC).

Ambassador for Oceania: Sukhmanjot Dhillon
New Zealand

Sukhmanjot Dhillon is an undergraduate Bachelor of Psychological Science student at the University of Waikato, New Zealand. Originally from India, she moved to New Zealand to pursue her passion for psychology and mental wellbeing. She currently serves as an Undergraduate Student Representative at the University of Waikato, where she advocates for student voices and contributes to building an inclusive and supportive university community. Sukhmanjot is also a published author, reflecting her commitment to sharing ideas that inspire personal growth and resilience. Her academic interests focus on mental health, psychological wellbeing, and community engagement. Through her studies and leadership roles, she is dedicated to promoting initiatives that support wellbeing, empower individuals, and create positive change. She looks forward to contributing her perspective, enthusiasm, and commitment to advancing the work and mission of Division 15.

Ambassador for Southeast Asia: Raymund Mindanao
Philippines

A Licensed Professional Psychometrician (RPm) and Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT) with extensive professional experience in psychology, education, special education, research, and human resource development in the Philippines. He currently serves as a Research and Extension Coordinator and Psychology Program Faculty at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines–Santa Rosa Campus, where he contributes to research development, extension initiatives, and psychology education.

Currently completing the final stage of his Ph.D. in Psychology, major in Clinical Psychology, at De La Salle University–Manila. He holds a Master of Arts in Education, major in Special Education, from the University of the Philippines–Diliman, and a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines–Manila.

His professional engagement includes nearly two decades of experience in special education, psychological services, teaching, research, consultancy, and human resource development, complemented by academic appointments and consultancy roles across various institutions. His multidisciplinary practice reflects a sustained commitment to advancing psychological science, inclusive education, professional practice, and evidence-informed community service.
