While organisational addiction prevention models have a long tradition in other European companies such programmes did not exist in Austria 15 years ago. Only since then companies have started to regard them as a useful measure for inner-organisational health care. Despite the fact, that the evaluation of decisions made, normally plays an important role is often neglected in this field - even on the European level. Therefore we would like to present a concept of addiction prevention, which was designed to meet the needs of Austrian companies. Problems of evaluation in an organisational setting will be discussed. Finally the Implementation and successful evaluation in an Austrian multi-national insurance company will be demonstrated, using an anonymous questionnaire (N>50) and data regarding alcohol related incidents.
