PECULIARITIES OF ETHNIC IDENTITY FORMATIONIN JUVENILE AND YOUNG AGE (BASED ON MOLDOVA S MATERIAL)

The work examines the results of ethnopsycological investigation of transformations of ethnic identity on the post-soviet territory- Republic of Moldova and proposes a hypothesis which states that the social-economic crisis of the society inevitably influences the process of ethnic identity formation at teenagers both of mast group and ethnic minorities. The investigation revealed common and opposite characteristic features of ethnic identity formation at Russian- languageand Moldovan teenagers - opposite features: mast group- hyperidentity, Russian language group dillution and common features being the divert and ablation from the ethnic problem - hypoidentity. Such conflicting ethnic identity worries psychologists and requires special work with teenagers in the field of ethnic tolerance.
