PSYCHOLOGICAL IMPACT OF LIMESTONE MINING TO HUMAN BEHAVIOR

Researches have concluded that environmental pollution disturbs human life, and this has created environmental stress. Stress influences emotion, thinking process and behavior of a person. In several conditions however, people show helplessness in dealing with stress, and some researchers considered this as learned helplessness. Data collection was conducted through survey and interview. There were 30 respondents participating in the survey and interview. Results showed that even though stress has been considered someway detrimental to life, in various cases people remains able to conduct their life normally. Recommendations to local government to regulate healthy working environment is discussed.
