THE PERSONALITY CHARACTERISTICS OF JAPANESE STUDENTS COMPARING AMERICANS BY SHIMODA PERSONALITY INVENTORY (SPI)

The traits of Japanese students were investigated by using Shimoda Personality Inventory (SPI). It can measure 6 personality traits. One sub- scale , that is the immodithymic trait, is insisted that it is distingushed among the Japanese. It scale was made by our group. The japanese and American samples were collected. The scores of the both groups were compared. The similarities and differences between the samples were discussed. Also the differences between the nationalities were considered.
