This study is aimed to describe the loneliness of Balinese students who are studying in Bandung, West Java. They are 26 first-semester male students who live in the 'Bali' Dormitory in Bandung. The other 25 first-semester male students, Sundanese, who live in their own families in Bandung, are used as a comparison group. The results reveal that the Balinese students show a higher degree of loneliness as compared to the Sundanese students, both in the social and the emotional loneliness. However, both the Balinese and the Sundanese students show a good social adjustment. Does the 'Bali' Dormitory in Bandung replace the community organization so-called 'Banjar' in Bali?
