COGNITIVE ASPECTS OF GENDER DEVELOPMENT: PRESCHOOLER'S PREFERENCES OF SEX- TYPED COLOR

The color preference of preschoolers was compared in order to study the cognitive development of gender schema. Children chose the color they preferred, and answered why they preferred that color. The result suggested that boys are more likely to prefer blue and girls are more likely to prefer pink.
