AN EXPLORATION OF THE DATA OF THE DUTCH STANDARDIZATION OF THE WISC-III

In the Netherlands and in Flanders about 1250 children were tested in 2001 with the new WISC-III during the standardization process of the Dutch version. Exploratory analyses were carried out looking for gender differences and the influence of socio-economic and educational level, family structure and school results on the verbal and performance tests and on the full scales. We further focus on the results of ethnic minority groups and factor analytic solutions. Finally the observed differences in the means between the results in the Dutch and Flemish population are discussed.
