The analysis carried out in this investigation allowed to single out three directions on the questions linked to the study of the efficiency of teacher's personality and his educational influence upon learners. One of them is the direction in which as a determiner shaping the educational potential of a teacher's personality functions the level and content of intra-plane characteristics of his personality. The second and more traditional is the direction where the manifestation and the content of his personality inter-plane characteristics function as determiners ensuring the measure of teacher's personality educational potential. The third approach where the basis of personality notion is formed by systemic principle seems to be the best in the solution of the problem.
