includes two streams of studies, one built around experimental studies of basic
processes and the other around applied field studies. Both streams of research
address how motivational and cognitive processes interact to influence
performance on complex tasks (such as managerial problem solving and decision
making tasks) within a social cognitive theory framework.

One student won the 1998 David van Lennep Prize in the Netherlands for best thesis in organizational psychology.
