                                                Principal investigator and project director for a series of projects in descriptive, and diagnostic research in life, skills education, family, population and health program development, implementation and evaluation.  Has applied research skills in these areas and developed national opinion surveys with respect to decriminalization of abortion and sexuality education in schools which have been used as the bases for program implementation and advocacy.

 

                            Development of educational materials: 

 

                                                Based on results of research has coordinated the development and testing and authored or co-authored over 200 educational materials which include a textbook on research methods, training manuals in family life and sexuality education, videos on AIDS prevention for pharmacists and sexuality education and  school textbooks. Over 11 million books have been sold.

 

                            Teaching and training: 

 

                                                Quantitative and qualitative research methodology, family life education for adolescents, parents, teachers and children. Trained replicators in these fields including aspects such as how to deal with opposition groups, how to go from research to action, how to institutionalize family life and sexuality education at regional and  national levels.
